MISSIONARY WANTED:
The Pomona church of Christ is looking for a Biblically based, doctrinally sound, mission oriented evangelist willing to work under the Pomona eldership. Must be self-motivating and willing to commit to a minimum two (2) year mission work. Location of mission work and salary is negotiable. Additional details and application is below.
Missions
Pomona is excited about the beginning of it's new mission program. Our new missions program is currently being planned and will go into effect approximately January 2012. At that time the church at Pomona will be directing its focus on solely supporting one missionary. This work will involve a short internship with the Pomona congregation before going out into the mission field. Once placed, the church at Pomona will provide financial, spiritual, and emotional support for the chosen person and his family.

Pomona supports mission work in numerous countries as well as here in the states.
India
This is one our longest commitments. We currently support four native preachers in this country.
Eastern Europe
One of our former ministers, Roger Michael, is currently a missionary to countries in Eastern Europe. He is currently mainly involved in Albania. Pomona is thankful to be Rogers� sponsoring congregation. Numerous other congregations and individuals also support Roger's work.
Romania
Romania has long since been a favorite country for Pomona�s mission work. Several of our members have had the joy of spending time in this beautiful country spreading the Lord�s gospel. Plans are currently in place to provide support to two students as they work there during the summer of 2003.
Intercity Mission
This work receives the largest support of our mission work. The work, which started in Nashville, has now spread to other cities. The work is heavily involved in providing transportation for individuals in the intercity to come in and share a worship service as well as Bible lessons.
Other Works
Pomona has been blessed with the ability to help many congregations in the US over the years. Whether this needs presents itself in helping to fund a building or in support of a minister, Pomona continues to look for more ways to spread the good news.
Other works include the Spanish Literature program and a new outreach program through local mailings. The congregation also uses its benevolent program to reach those in spiritual as well as physical needs.
